    Thanks , I took a chance with on my wheel hoist and yes just enough heat to make it snug.
    Was thinking the bigger the Heat shrink the more heat needed, I just brought some 30mm
    heat shrink and its very thick.
    Anyway would make it look finished and shop brought lol

    I needed to do some splicing on my 16mm Dynamee winch rope and on an extension strap so purchased one of these factor 55 FIDS - makes the job very easy. $90 plus postage.
