Tank Location for On Board Air?

Just had a 9L airtank kit delivered the other day and have no idea where to install it having never done 1 before.

Anyone have any pics / info on where they have installed theirs?

    Cheers

Not sure what model you have, but if its a lower range model GU Wagon (no rear A/C) like mine, the LHR quarter has a nice cavity you can use....

Try mounting it next to your chassis rail underneath ,I'm mounting one this weekend weather permitting.
Some flat plate 10mm rod to make some "U" bolts, Easy as, what area are you in

TD I am over in Perth so a long walk

04OFF, that is awesome but I have the Outback drawers in which is a pain to remove to hide in there but that would a good spot

Looks like the same tank I have being a 9L?

What hoses did you use as the one's that came with mine are rubbish?

Try these fitting for manifold etc no need to tighten with screwdriver just push in .Been using them for years with no problems 10mm would be heaps, don't forget oneway valve on your manifold ,it'll stop air leaking back through your compressor.
If you don't run a winch you could mount it in that cavity

Thanks mate, it is a good spot, as i do a lot of beach, i think having it all tucked away from sand/water/mud etc is a good idea.

I had those push in fittings like 3D shows, when i was talking to the guy at the hose and fitting place, he said that they are good "if" you keep pressure in the system all the time, if not, you are better off with conventional hose and clamp method.

I wanted to be sure i had no problems, so i went with his suggestion on changing to normal hose etc.

This is the kit I got but was only $35.00 ish when I bought it and has all the normal fittings, not like the one's TD posted. Not to keen on the hose they included as I can't see how it could be 150 psi rated being so thin

Been thinking of doing this do those tanks have a drain , so as any moisture can be let out to prevent internal rust
If ya not using it buy a prius .....

You're right I had mine pressurized all the time as I was running F/R diff lock
and a Train horn , never gave me any problems over 20 plus years it was fitted
Do you have a one way valve on your system 4OFF ??
Pretty sure hose is Teflon, so pretty tough

Edit;; Just saw pic you have two fitted

Wouldn't be too hard to plumb up a drain for the tank
