    Hi Dales300exc,
Can you please tell me, when you rebuilt the engine, if you noticed if the old and new pistons and the rods all weighed the same.
I am interested to know if Nissan balances their engines. Both diesel and petrol. Its about performance.

    Thanks,

    Neil.

I didn't weigh them sorry. The guy who did all the machine work balanced my engine both rotating and reciprocating masses.

    Hi Dales300exc,
Do you know if the guy who did the machine work have to take much off to balance it all out.

    Neil.

I will ask the question when I see him next.

Vehicle is stripped and ready to install the diesel loom and get the wheels really in motion. Then setup the twin tanks, dash back in etc. Kickin goals.

Mounts for cooler heat exchanger fabbed up, new headlights and globes, looms all out, bay is pretty much clear, fuel tanks are out and have new pickups so are ready to go back in. Got a heap of new switches and relays to tidy everything up. TD bellhousing is on. Happy with the progress and certainly have a big weekend ahead of me.

Nope . Underestimated the giant pain in the arse that is setting up twin tanks. Not far off, just trying to find time. Its booked for exhaust next Tuesday. Will get stuck into it Wednesday after work and probably tomorrow before work. Just little shit.

Got in early and finished the tanks off. Just small wiring jobs and engine bay fuel lines to finish up. Hopefully fire it up tomorrow evening.

Couple of photos of the vacuum setup, filter, intake piping and stoked with how much more ground clearance I have with the stock tank over the gas tank.
