Howdy Fellas.
This is bushwaker and not really at a age where I m real good on these forums, etc. so please bear with me.
Never joined or done this forum stuff before.
Need some help if some one can assist.
I have a 03 TI nissan (4.8) 5 spd auto.
I have a 2000 model 6BT1 cummins and manual box(5 spd) I think. from a Dodge Ram.(4 x 4).
Plan is to fit the cummins into the Patrol.
Can any of you fellas out there either.
Put me onto some one that can help or some where that sells the conversion kit I ll need.
If one of you fellas have already done the conversion I d be very grateful of any help.
Thanks.

Welcome mate. Sounds like a top conversion. I haven't read many on this forum, but I have on google. I think (from memory) a body lift was needed as the Cummings are quite a tall motor, but shouldn't be hard to get passed when you get it all engineered anyway.
Try marks adaptors for the adaptor kit. If he doesn't do one he probably knows someone who does..
Good luck with the build. And make sure to do a build over view with lots of pics..
Enjoy the forum and the build.
Cheers

Patrol Freak
Welcome to the forum Bushwalker. I have the 6.5l Chev conversion in a '06 GU. I looked (briefly) at the Cummins and if memory serves, I think Westy is correct with Mark's Adapters having the kit for the conversion. If he doesn't he should know who would. Failing that, you could possibly try either Greg from Brunswick Diesel or Bullet Car conversions.
Good luck and please post pics!

G'day bushwalker,
I recommend you purchase the book Diesel Performance handbook for Pickups and SUV's by Ben Watson it is a Motor-books workshop book. Chapter 3, covers the whole Dodge Cummins turbo diesel range of engines from 1989 to present.
I am currently researching the 5.9lt turbo diesel, 24 valve engine, replacing the Bosch VP44 injector pump that comes with the motor and replacing it with the Bosch P7100 Injector pump (P-pump). I have a friend in the US who can get me the drive train from a 1999 dodge for US $1,500.00 I am currently finding out how much it will cost to ship the package to Brisbane.

RLI

G'day folks,
I will be using either the Dodge auto or the 6 speed manual box. Spare parts and aftermarket accessories for the Dodge Cummins and there Auto gearboxes are insanely cheap in the US. The 4x4 autos are absolutely bullet proof of running over 400 horsepower (Farkkk i am starting to get a woody. lol) I am after a torque monster for towing and i will be looking forward to this new project.
My friend Charles in the US, informed me that a can buy a minor damaged wreck (2004 DODGE 2500 4X4 Pickup with 5.9L, diesel auto 62,000 miles only) at auction for around US $3,000.00
Regards,
RLI
