Lsd oil
Hi all,
many say that Penrite LIMSLIP 140 is a good rear diff oil for my GU, many have anything to say about this?, also I was told to use an additive for appx 500-1000kms in the diff to clear out all the gearing/clutches of sludge or build-up prior to draining, does anyone know what this product would be, my rear diff is not working correctly off road & lose traction sometimes as it appears I only get traction to one rear wheel sometimes, I just want to do it correctly & again I am big on not paying a Mecho for maintenance issues
regards
Jim

Not sure of the oils, but some guys add some engine flush. The stuff you add to the engine oil to clear it out.. You need roughly 1000k in the diff they reckon.

Advanced
I used that in my old Commoder that did a hell of a lot of heavy towing and changed it once every 2 yrs. At one stage the lsd started to chatter in reverse so I did an early change. Diff was still quiet as after 300,000 hard k's.
Ill be putting it in the patrol at the next service
