The Knife Thread

No rush , now to think of a way to mount my knives in "Manland".
Picked up some awesome white strobe led which I think I'll use while 4x4ing.
to alert chook chasers [motor bike] that I'm coming. the kid around the corner
smashed head on into a 4x4 and has been off work over a year. He also has a
comp spec 4x4. Its either that or brilliant DRLs.

Very nice set. Just picked up 3 more at BCF for less than $100.

A Winchester Bowie, Winchester 2.5" folder and a Gerber BG compact knife that is molle compatible, belt clip and neck lanyard.

Nice pick up those Winchester bowie have heaps of different styles .
walnut and mahogany see you picked up a finger groove walnut model.
you can get non finger grip and round as well. for the price around $40
you get a fair bit of knife, Oh they also come in a presentation tin well some do.
Might get one but want my Gil Hibben tooth pick first.

The bowie is well balanced and surprisingly light for being a full tang blade and it is around 4mm thick on the spine.

The bowie was $40 the folder was $13 and the compact Gerber was $45

You did well with the prices,
I would think anything with BG on it would be marked up a bit.
Getting a camel pack for my Bundy and cokes at camp shortely

Still working on your jailer keys, can only bend steel when fire going outside.
I'm using Reo-bar and boy it that tuff, getting there though
Edit 100 ft of parachute cord arrived, will lash some on my walking sticks

@ OD how do you finish this 7 strand para cord,?
just melt with a lighter ?

You melt with a lighter or a hot knife / flat soldering iron

That Gerber knife, is that foldable ?? I ordered some skinning and boning knifes the other day off ebay made by Dexter Russell and seen some nice pocket knifes but wasn't sure if i should buy them
