Blinker problems - 93 GQ Patrol
Hello all,
Its been a white since I posted any thing in this forum. Can any body offer some advise on a blinker issue?
My right front blinker just stopped working the other day (Bulb is good) after some testing, it looks like there isn't any current going to the unit even though the blinker on the right from guard works, the fuses are good and all the other blinkers work.
Any one with some practical advice on this
Thanks
Keven

try a different globe,,,, over time the globe may appear to be ok
but the lead contact on the base wears away, usually you can
tell by hitting the lens and the blinker works, also check globe housing for corosion

hey mate chances are its your stalk. The indicator bit that hangs on the side of the steering wheel, if you pull it off in the back you'll find brass fingers with contacts. Get a little piece of sandpaper and slide it between the brass and metal contact. clean both contact points on all fingers.

I had something similar recently with the indicator light on the bullbar not working. It was just a dodgy connection about a meter beck from the light assembly at a terminal join. I wouldn't have thought it would be the stalk if the light on the guard is working.
