Only if you have pushed the SubTank switch, otherwise the Sub should still be fairly full. The Subtank pump will operate every time you turn the key, for around 10 seconds, I guess to keep it lubricated and primed, so you will lose a little out of the top of the tank, nut with 80 Litres in the sub, you would expect the gauge not to move.

When you filled up, was the Sub Gauge full?

Both were full when I left. I hit the sub tank at 3/4 on main. Just eems a lot gone so far if your thinking 1200 for both?

Plus re using sender from 35 ltr sub don't assume half is half. When fitting Aux tanks they make sure only by using negative off. Meaning don't take half as half full
After a while you get to know roughly how much is in each tank.

If you filled up completely, you should have around 170 Litres, so even at 17 Litres per hundred, that is 1000 K's to the tanks.

My long range tank in my wagon is as such that when the low fuel light comes on, I still have well over 20 Litres left in the bottom.

Yours may be similar, and you will only know when you refuel.

546 km for 86L fuel used on that trip.

A/C on and prob averaged 105 km/hr on highway.

Really drove it carefully. Thought It might go a little better on fuel. But it's better than the F 350 I replaced

Noticed my fuel gauge for main tank is slow to drop until a third/half full then drops quickly. Was the other way until a better earth for dual battery was fitted.
I have canopy which sits higher than Telstra pods and I get 13.25 to 13.75 lt per hundred klm unfortunately on bitumen to and from work with no real weight on board.

edit just noticed you had 4.2 td I'd say that's pretty good from a big 6

Well I'm doing another big bush trip next week.

Should I go to Repco and get injector cleaner through it?

Will also change air and fuel filters to see if that helps.

That's about right for your fuel consumption 14 to 16 l per 100 is what td42 get. You can get it tuned and get better economy. Zd30 patrols get 13 to 15 l per 100. It's close to 3 ton and a pod is a parachute so not bad if you ask me
