Have a look in Redbook.Com.Au will tell you when the model changes occurred...... In the case of a GU IV, they arrived Oct 2004.
Just goes to shows how much the revs checks are worth hey. Good pick up MR.

My folks went to the Google Play Store and all they got me was this lousy Motorculture App!!!!!!!

There is NO QUESTION Amelia, sorry, that is NOT a GUIV

The model change must have been right around then, that would have been a runout model mate.
Is it possible being a transition year they were all labelled as GUIV? I have a similar model to yours daz with exactly the same running but the utes still retain the old shape all the way through to current.

I used to have people telling me my 1999 GQ Ute doesn't exist until I showed them the compliance plate and vin.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Reading your text in conjunction with your pics made my ears prick up.

Mudrunner is spot on. GUIV is the change of shape.

Amelia, I'm not trying to dent your excitement, but I bought my '05 GUIV with 121xxxkm on the clock for $25k over a year ago and its Mickey Mouse! I did however buy it privately not through a dealer. Again not trying to boast or be a downer, just wanted to add some perspective.

All the best with whatever you decide!

Here is another GUIII with a 12/04 compliance and listed as a GUIV but is not. Under 200,000ks and under $20k

Agree with Darren, that photo is not a GUIV.

Mine is a GUIV with a build date of 10/2014.

That one must be just before the change over.

Edit. built date should be 2004
