Oil pick up on RB30 skyline conversion
The oil pick up in the sump of the Patrol motor has a support bracket on it. the skyline motor does not have threaded hole to attach this bracket to. is it important to attach this bracket to stop the pick up vibrating and braking or is it over kill and will the pick up last ok with out it?
What have other people done?

I would be putting the bracket in somehow. Last thing you wanna have is no oil pick up!

I went without the bracket, and had no probs. so far. Although motor has only done about 8000ks since it went in, so long term don't really know.

up date , drilled a hole where it should be for the bracket and tapped a tread, you cannot be too careful in my books
