@ Mego I'd think LED strip would be fine on the edge, great idea Mate 2 thumbs up.
Do you have it via a weatherproof toggle switch ????

I used some decent double sided tape,

I running wires back into the cab I have 4 sets of led strips planned. I'm going to use LED rocker switch so I know the lights are on or off.
