    Fuel gauge pressure decipher

    Hey guys
Quick one. I have this cheap gauge I got from an auto store. But I am having a bit of trouble reading the actual pressure.
Obviously the gauge spins clock wise and looking at it I thinks it's reading about 120kpa. Which is 17.5psi approx. which if that's true. Not good.

    Would this be right? ImageUploadedByMotorculture1373023864.073214.jpg

If im reading that gauge correctly its in vacuum. It should be on the other side of zero for a positive reading. Where did you plumb this to get that reading?

Yeah. It actually went clockwise past the half way mark and went in to the vaccum side. So looking at the positive scale I think it's sitting at 120 kpa positive pressure

Oh I get you now. You have probably ruined your gauge then. You will need to get an appropriate gauge to get an accurate reading.

Hmmm yeah probably right. Looks like that gauge only goes to 10psi positive. Probably should of looked at it before I blew the guts out of it.

Anyone recommend a cheapo way. Should I just get a 20 dollar oil pressure gauge. To test
