    Oil light sender location, td42

    Could someone please tell me the location of the sender unit for the oil light on an 89 GQ, td42 motor?
    Thanks in advance for the help

    Right hand side of the block, half way down. About 2oclock from the 2 oil filters. It's a pressure switch with 2 wires
    Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!! ....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

    The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

    Thanks mudrunner, do they have one for the light and one for the factory gauge as I have been led to believe by the guy at local Repco, if my photo worked does this look right to you?

    That is an oil pressure sender for sure, is it compatable with a TD42? Not sure mate, looks a little different to mine.

    Not sue if there are 2 difference sensors? I doubt it.

    Ok, well thanks anyway, the guy at Repco told me there was 2,one for the gauge and one for the light but stuffed if I can find anything that looks like this on the block, could see the pressure switch you spoke of with 2 wires and a rubber cover over it just in front of the oil filters, might have to go and see Mr Nissan tomorrow Cheers. Phil
