4.8 torque converter lock up switch
Hi everyone I have been looking at different options for a torque converter lock up switch and I got a price of $355 from whole sale automatics but I think I could build the kit myself for a lot less as I asked what was envolved in the kit and I was told that it was just a bunch of relays and wires a a switch.
I have also had a look at jays one on patrol4x4 and that one turns it off when ever u touch the brakes but I want mine for going down steep hills in first low when 4wding so I still need to use my brakes at the same time.
So what I want to no is has anyone make there own kit up to lock the converter using just a manual switch to operate it and what was required

Yeah I did the kit based on Chaz's post, works well even when you forget to turn the main switch off and rest your foot of the foot rest(read switch) after starting up
