1988 nissan patrol starter motor
I have trouble starting the motor on cold mornings,the starter winds but doesn't mesh but when it warms up is ok.
I would appeciate any ideas on the cause of this.

Thanks for the heads up mudrunner but I am just a sheila trying to get some ideas from the guys who may be able to help us,its a GQ 1988 4.2 Diesel.

Welcome to the forum. Does your starter sound slow, once it does mesh with the engine?
My advice is: not to follow my advice.

Hi and welcome.Sounds like a battery/connection problem or could even be an internal problem within the starter it's self. That's sort of fault is hard to diagnose over the net...
