    I highly recommend going down to the bottom of the Plateau and checking out the ruins of the old industrial works. You can get down there in a 2wd, but cars have to stop at a carpark near the visitors center. If you've got a 4wd you can smile as you go past the people walking, drive through the river and keep driving down to a much closer carpark

    I thought I would also add this link for those thinking of doing this trek. I did it years ago and it was a great day out.

    Thanks Mark. This was our first trip in the Patrol and we loved it. Couldnt find the Lost City and we plan on going back there to have another look. That website has heaps of info on it (mostly walk in sites) but still very interesting.
