Recommend a day trip out of Lilydale please
Hey guys,
I'm still very new to 4wding and wanted a good track to have a crack at on the weekend with a mate in his BT-50.
I don't have a lift but have 31" Mickeys, a winch and recovery gear.
Can anyone suggest a track accessible from lilydale for a day trip next Sunday.
Anyone looking for an excuse to get out on a track is welcome to join.
Cheers.

Hi mate, has you mate got road tyres or mud tyres.
There is a heap over your way but it can get very very difficult without the best gear.
A good day drive for you should not turn into a day long Winching Exercise either.
There are many good members here that are over that way that can maybe point you in the right direction for some Easy Medium stuff it that exists after all this rain.
I will alter you thread name to see if you can get some local help bud
Cheers MR

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
WARNING: Towballs used for recoveries can, and do kill people and damage property.

You could head up to Murrindindi quite easily, and there are various levels of tracks up there.
Alternatively, you could head out towards Woods Point or Walhalla, and there are heaps of tracks and history too. Some tracks may be closed, and you can check this on the Parks Victoria Website.
