Another disadvantage about daylight savings time is that my eastern states telephone provider takes it upon themselves
to send automated text messages at 7am EDST.
Unfortunately, it's only 4am in the west. Once I'm awake, that's it, I have to get up.
I know, I know. Either suck it up, or turn our phones off before we go to bed!
Unfortunately I can't turn my phone off, due to work commitments.
Rant over. lol.

Stuff that. I would be like a bear with a sore head if anything work-related did that for no sane reason. If you can't set your phone up as 10G suggested then may I introduce you to a solution as well. Simply tie your phone to it and toss it into the nearest waterway.
You may be able to switch your phone to 'Do Not Disturb' or does work need to disturb you through the night?
I'm normally in bed by 9pm at the latest, and to be woken up at 4am, it's like I've had my 7hrs night time sleep and it's time to get up. I might ring them up and ask them what's the go.

I get the same thing, Telstra send updates on data usage on my phone and half the time they come in the middle of the night.
I cannot change this and it is a work phone on a corporate plan.
Yep, 4 - 4:30 am is the worst time to wake up, unless I'm camping and sleeping under the stars. Then i usually take a good old look up and see what's going on in the sky and try and wake up an hour later to see the sun rise.
But when at home during a work week it's really crap.
I live by that app.
Being a shift worker I have it set to only allow favorites/stared numbers to go through eg kids, schools, wife and parents. Everyone else can wait till I get up.
If a repeat caller/text comes through within a set time you have the option to allow it to go through or not.

This farking rain! I would not care one bit if i do not see this stuff for another two years. Its very hard to make a house sellable when the back yard is constantly under water.
I need to find a plumber and fast.

No mate, you need someone with a digger.
Nice big hole and call it a pool.
I know what you mean tho. When the photographer came out it was a little overcast, but the pics had clear blue skies.
