Really? What sort of silicone are you using? It shouldn't set too quickly. Definitely dip the finger in then smooth off a 100mm or so, wipe finger on a rag and repeat.

It did have an rcd fitted before hand but it didn't trip due to it not being an earth leakage issue.
But yes now each circuit has its own breaker. .

So No go..
They don't cover faulty parts or install. ..
So I'm a bit concerned what the outcome would have been if it did short in the roof....

Well I'm more angry at myself for not paying attention and doing something very stupid.
Out in the shed last night cleaning up and lit the fire to burn some crap off. Threw a old water bottle in the fire that had something in it. It was quite flammable done is little woof now and spat burning liquid on my face...
Ended up in hospital last night but home pretty quick. Very very lucky doc said I escaped with only burning first layer. Equivalent to severe sun burn.
Now behind the healing which sucks so far. Face is all tight and weeping. Got a small patch on my forehead, some on right cheek, tip of my nose and the worst part my top lip.
Stupid stupid mistake not paying attention. Got a feeling it was either metho or something along those lines. It's burnt clear. Still hurt a bit.... uploadfromtaptalk1458774769921.jpg

Yeah very lucky no major damage now I just have to suffer till it gets better haha. Got a bit of cleaning up to do in the shed to. Ran inside when it happened then 5 mins later look outside to see some bellowing out of shed. Pills of rags went up. Old couch along with a slab of crownies (no huge loss haha) burnt some air line to a molten puddle to.
1 water extinguisher down n 1 co2 one emptied and it was out. All while trying to cool my face lol. Still can't believe it happened.

Yeah I know. Got off very lucky on this. If it had of burst and flashed out I'd still be in hospital.
