Finding out the grubbermint wants to tax everyone's saving again with a new tax.

No-one has a hope of getting by if it comes in, especially those who are travelling or using their savings in retirement or just saving in general.

Basically 3 taxes on your money at once, 1st being on your wages, 2nd on any interest (un-earnt income) over $470 (approx) from your savings and then 3rd if introduced is to tax your savings again.

Recommendations from economists suggest withdrawing all savings out and invest in property, gold etc.

There is no info available on the impact it will have on banks yet but they see a mass exodus of accounts being closed.

Ordered foxtel as a bundle through Telstra on the 6/4 online, requested an install for 8 days later. Five days later got conformation email that an install has been confirmed for 13/5. Phone conformation on 8/5 to check everything was still good, I confirmed, got another phone conformation today. This time they had a different address and the system had generated a cancelation. One an a half hours later and being transferred between 5 different people from Telstra and foxtel, they are going to honor the 13/5 install, not without a fight.
Well we will see what happens.
I dropped Telstra years ago, have only gone back as I thought it was easier and better to have it altogether.
Not a good start.

Nah, no chance of canceling, the phone and internet got transferred within two weeks of me putting in the order.
Got a text this morning to confirm my booking for tomorrow. I replied yes as instructed. We wait and see.
