Sprayed a bit of degreaser on the IP and gently hosed off, so that I or the mechanic can try and pin point where it's leaking from. Dried up and cleaned up all the diesel and gunk fine.
After a short drive there is now even more diesel leaking than prior to clean up, it's actually dripping onto the diff now... Happy times.

Yeah bugger, at least it's easy to identify now. Mine was doing the same, luckily it was just a cheap and easy seal that could be done on the car, cost just over 100 bucks. Hopefully you have the same luck. . .

Fingers crossed for you mate hope its just the seal.
I think maybe too many mechanics jump on the IP wagon
as its easier to do

I hope so too mate, but chances are slim as there is not much externally on these that can piss diesel out. Although, one thing I have on my side is the car is running and starts fine... So far. Fingers crossed. I'm gonna sit on it and see how it pans out.

today is not a good day....the news we received this visit of the father inlaw is starting to sink in,just got back home yesterday and the wife broke down big time...now I can't stop.....people only ask because they are concerned,but it cuts like a knife....We where told yesterday the movement he has is all he is likely to get.....Fuck he cannot even move his arms properly,no feeling from the chest down and needs help breathing..all this from a man who has worked his whole life outdoors since he was 14,then this at the age of 60.....
