It was a low grade malignant tumour of a nerve sheath within the muscle between my ribs. I am booked back in for further surgery on the 8/12 so they can take a larger tissue margin and will then be referred over to the oncologist for further treatment as required. At this stage they are talking about radiation therapy but will find out more over the coming weeks.
I will be fine in the end but it's still a scary process that's ahead

Thanks Heaps Guys - appreciate your kind words but yeah, I'm a tough old biatch so I'll be ok in the end ..
Just had my ex husband bring my son up to the hospital so I could tell him in person .. THAT wasn't fun having to explain it all to a 12yr old whilst my ex was sitting 2ft away!! GRRRRR
Told the girls earlier today and they're taking it all pretty good considering. I refuse to lay down and give up plus was VERY lucky it's been diagnosed so early and is actually a rare form of cancer (trust me to be special) so odds are very good.
Off for more morphine now so Nite nite ...

Hope it all goes well for you Sharon.
Good that you have caught it early and make sure you keep thinking positive as that makes a big difference.
