I just had a wanker with a 2.2l hilux dual cab tell me it is better then a TD42 patrol. He backed it up with patrols have a lot of problems when asked like what he said air conditioning..........

His ignorance pissed me off he truly believed his un modified Hilux was all conquering and that it didn't need a winch or other mods as it had never been stopped and he went on "real " 4x4 tracks.

I walked away in the end.

In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.

I had a guy who drove a hi rider Mitsubishi 2x4 triton tell me he didn't need 4wd because his car went everywhere my GQ (at the time I had not had it long and had a 2" lift and AT tyres ) (back in the day lmao) I said yeah mate your right until I use that little leaver for the first time, that'll be about the same time your getting stuck if you have had a good day! On a bad day I'd have left you hours ago! Lol. It was my brother inlaw and he is a Dick!

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
