CERTIFIABLY INSANE
I'm ok with the fee as long as it goes towards the upkeep and policing of the campsites and forests by rangers.

Guys I`ve just done 3months in TAS where there is a lot of free camps on Hydro and Forestry land and most are clean and well look after. Now when you use a National Pk it cost you $25 a day PLUS $13 to camp which might entitle you to a longdrop and then it may 500 meters away . You can get a 12month parks pass BUT you still pay for camping. All NP do with the money over there is to put in walking tracks and magnificent interpretive centers all built of first grade TASSIE timber.they are trying to discourage camping and the like by making it as hard as possible for the average family or grey nomads to use the parks. I see the exact same think happening here on the big island.
