Driving to see my dear old Mum on Saturday. Old mongrel in his ute with trailer going to the tip.
I'm coming down hill doing at least 90. He starts to turn, I slow down so he can get out of the way, then he stops across the entire lane. Nowhere to go, off into the bush on the left or into the front of an oncoming car on the right. Somehow we stopped. I blasted the mongrel with the horn, don't think he ever saw or heard us.

Not all that thrilled.
Also found out there is a regional building materials shortage due to a pile of home re-builds finally getting approvals ticked off by the council, so does not affect us now, just hope its a short-ish term issue. Looking for a good concreter in east gippsland also to put down my shed slab.

We have been lucky with council, permit was issued less than 24 hours after the application went in. I will call my dad at lunch today Phil and ask for a recommendation for a concreter.

Thanks Chris, still 4-5 months before we get possession, but want to pull the pin straight away we get access. Bit of design work to do, find the shed, route for underground power and water etc.

Now we have organised a visit from 3 other builders and none of them have shown up when they said they would. Incredibly frustrating as it was supposed to be finished end of January!
If anybody knows a reliable builder in the Latrobe Valley I am all ears!

Got onto another recommendation for somebody local who answered my call, helpful and professional on the phone, appointment made and can start within the next 2 weeks.
We will see how it goes but sounds like we are finally onto something!

I wish... It got worse last night due to the carelessness of trades people. Stressed like you wouldn't believe right now. I need a drink.
