But could be the same thing, will start with leads, plugs and cleaning the maff sensor.
Maff sensor I dare say needs a good clean as when I bought it the air box was blown and there was no air filter there!!! Have replaced the air box and put a filter in.
Might pay to have the gas system checked, they are a fickle bitch and a pain in the arrrs if they dont work 100%

The neighbour's Pajero on gas, was doing the same thing. Back firing under load. It turned out to be a loose spade lug, which had a film of carbon deposited between the two connecting surfaces. Weird as it seems, the engine moved under load, pulled on the wire and caused the backfire.
My advice is: not to follow my advice.

The ring road... and the people who bottle-neck it, because they have no clue on lane merging.
Gave merging space to this chick as soon as her lane began to end. She stayed in it until the very freaking last few metres !!! Down the road, when I was alongside her I realized why... She's on the phone, eating a burger, while occasionally turning around and feeding fries to the kid behind.
Driving seems like the secondary thing these days for people behind the wheel.
