You should see their trucks they drive. Just as much coin pumped into their prime movers as what the truck is worth.

The new Redgum wood splitter with the Honda motor is an expensive but nice bit of kit. I have a small jigger that lifts the wood up to the splitter and then in a matter of seconds the job is done. The splitter can also be set vertically for big chunks of wood, but I'll have to get help to do that.
My advice is: not to follow my advice.

The utes are slow. You need a fairly good setup to top the 200 as you just cant compete against the auto.
You only need about 120kw and 400nm to be quicker than a V8 cruiser ute with exhaust and 4" snorkel. I have done this officially too. Timed run down the strip. You can get a 200hp TD to get down in 16.5sec.

Gu is booked in for it major 80 thou service tomorrow so I dropped in to the mechanics last night to just run over a few things..
Glad I did or I woukd have had GL5 gearbox oil in it and 5w40.
He's going to get in some gl4 gearbox oil for me and use 15w40 in the engine.
Also went over a few things that I wanted sorted before our big trip next year.
Glad to have a mechanic who's willing to listen.

I noticed my catch can filling up quicker running the 5w40 last service, then dropped it and put the 15w40 back in and it slowed considerably.
Also opted for a slightly stronger concentrate this time.
All in preparation for darwin and central australia

Interesting as the 5w40 is the same at operating temp as the 15w40 viscosity wise. The 5w is just a little thinner when cold.
As long as the concentrate is an anti-freeze/boil and not just inhibitor. Although you generally wont see much gain running any higher than 50/50

That's all I put it too seeing it is a daily school bus so stop starts are killing it..
And gone a 33% blend of coolent..
And yes anti freeze / boil blend..

The sounds of gulp, gulp, everytime I walk past the laundry. The yeast doing its thang to my next brew of IPA. Oh and the lovely aromas now coming from the fridge from the stash of hops pellets. Haha! Much to everyones disgust at home.
