Using binoculars, I was watching a ship exit Portland harbour and I saw a Gannet dive into the water and come up with a fish. Man! They hit the water at high speed!
So after a woful start I finished strong.
Pulled out the Masport Klondike heater project..
Wire wheeled the lot and then coated with high temp paint..
Looking good I think..
Always wear a mask!!!
Tomorrow I'll start a fire and get it to 200c to cure it and then install it..
Looks pretty good, Kallen. Put it outside and make it burn real hot, the first couple of times you use it. That stuff stinks to high heaven, so I found out.
We used to have one of those in my mate's shed and we could never get it to burn very hot.
This one has no rear baffle but going to make a top one..
Hopefully it works well..

I'm told New Pig is getting colour on it today. Gotta get some pics first available. Don't think there is another unit quite the same colour on the forum.

This little beauty is humming along..
But it has a rear flu port which is bolted shut..
I thought it was poor cast but turns out it's rust.. so as its heated up it all fallen out..
So now to let it cool.. remove the bolts, re seal it and bolt it up again..
