I pulled the pop top van 600k today from Yorke peninsula to mt gambier. Threw the Adelaide hills was a cruze in 5th at 100k/H.
A 50k head wind had me back in 4th from keith to home, but still at 90-100k.
And all for 85L..
It's most noticeable in the top end of the rpm range..
Something ill have to learn how to do i reckon. Stuffed if if im gonna pay someone to do it.

Really wasn't hard. Pretty sure we used a 1 5/8" socket on the crank shaft nut and started with 1 and worked threw.
But we found it much easier to do the valves that were on the rock.
So if say cylinder was on exhaust stroke do the intake.
Double checked it all after to ensure it was all correct, replaced the cover seal which was the reason for doing it and kicked it in the guts..
Omg so quiet..

Pretty much did the same. Only we did all one side. Set rocker, adjust and move onto the next one. Once all done rotate motor 180 degree and did the others.
I did cheat a little, my brother is a mechanic, well was now pushes buttons and answers phones.

Getting back to the topic.
When I did mine there was a big difference in the rev range form about 2700-4000. Alot smoother.
Down side was that I can now hear the exhaust leak.

Totally agree.. I think I most noticed it in the top end to.. a lot more pull towards the end of the pedal stroke than before..
And I also have an intake leak. Gasket has parted so that's the next thing..
And will do exhaust at the same time..
