You got a sharp eye...
An FME/BNC connector at the antenna base would solve that...
I'd be more worried about interference from winch/spotty electrics... especially if you were out with a radio trying to comms a pull...

Never really had a problem with it, I've had the grill off a few times. Just roll it over the top of the radiator and it's out of the way..

Easy peasy, simply install a warmish h/m winch with 15mm ish say of additional spacing backwards off your GQ and or GU bullbars for added line usability.
Guaranteed your penetrated grill will be custom fitted/slotted to stealthily accept a baby wire as such for full and easy removal if needed
