Welcome to my world. S.W. coast Vic / S.E. coast S.A. Everything is horizontal here : trees, moving sand, rain and hail.
My advice is: not to follow my advice.

Yeah I don't know how you do it. It would drive me insane.

Absolutely stunning coastline from the start of the GOR and right through to SA, but I honestly cannot say I have been down that way and it wasn't cold and/ or blowing a gale.

Doesn't stop me from going there though. Haha!

Choices: Traffic jams and such or waking up at 5.40 am have brekky, then to walk and catch a train at 6.30 to the city, another train to the west, another 15 min walk to work. 8 hour day, and do the reverse in the evening. Or when I first moved here in the 90s: Wake up at seven, brekky, 15min drive to town start at 7.30 work 8 hours, go surfing, fishing or snorkelling for a couple of hours and head home, hopefully with tea in the catch bag. Hmmmm...
My advice is: not to follow my advice.

I'm with ya mate all the way there. Dunno how country cold and wind could be worse than city hussle, bussle, jammed freeways, car horns, middle fingers up, break ins, gang wars, no respect, and on and on.........

What is the charge? Eating a meal? A succulent Chinese meal??

100% agreed mate. Was just referring to the wind more so. Country life is my goal. Once the kids have flown the nest our plans are to sell up and feck off!

Happy no one or the hardiplank was hurt or damaged. My mower found a scrap of reo in the lawn and shot it over thirty metres at the sun room.
