Jack, where were you camped when you visited Fruit Bat Falls?
We are planning to stay at Elliot Falls campground on the way up and at Sailor Creek on the way back and visit Fruit Bat Falls from Sailor Creek.
We camped at Eliot Falls, it’s about 10km past Fruit Bat Falls on the OTT. Fruit Bat Falls was busy during the day but as we spent a few nights at Eliot decided to get up early and it was well worth it. Nice water crossing between the two Falls.
Enjoy the trip, magical place.
Cheers
Jack

We will be leaving Cairns on the 2nd June to head up the Cape via Cape Tribulation and getting back to Port Douglas on the 19th June.
We may cross paths with you heading up while we head back, if so we have to stop for a chat and a beer.
Absolutely , if you see a silver GQ with solar on the roof and Silverado mirrors it will be us .
If we leave on time on day we should be passing each other somewhere ,we are skipping cairns but going to Daintree to keep the boss happy then Bloomfield track to Cooktown ,unsure of how long we'll be in the Daintree though .

I will be in a white GU and be traveling with a silver GU, a white 200 series and a white 100 series.
For the Cooktown travellers - Don't miss Home Rule, great camp spot not far from the Lions Den out of Rossville. Walk through the rainforest to the falls. You wont be disappointed.
Make sure your gear is well secured .
Loved Cooktown amazing spot. everyone
should have it on their bucketlist.
