First time we will ever have travelled with other people. All experienced 4wd'ers & desert travellers & one an accomplished aircraft/vehicle/bush mechanic. One a Remote Area Nurse' - Good company for such a trip. Big shed in Kununurra with full workshop facilities to fully prepare the vehicles when we meet up a month or so before the trip.
We have another couple of friends, both with expedition trucks who will be our 'guinea pigs, checking out that K to B track later this year.
    That sounds great Cuppa.

When we went to Garik Gunag Barlu NP in 2021, we were going to head up to Kalumburu, past Drysdale River Station, on the way home (a bloody long way home) but the humidity was fierce, 80% with 38-41 for about a week, so we chickened out turned south.

We'll get there one day, maybe we'll do the CSR south to north and then up to Kalumburu???

Here's a little thing. Shortest day on the CSR for us was 25 minutes. There was a bunch of folks camped at Durba Springs so we stayed out of there. Came back the next day and no one at all, we had the entire place to ourselves, after a tiring 25 minute drive. LOL.

Patrol didn't catch fire, breakdown or end up on the back of a tow truck today

Then again I didn't start it or attempt to drive it anywhere.

Had a quick catch up with Plasnart this arvo. Talked a bit about the Swan Lake sand dunes and camping area among other things. Gotta get you lot down here for a weekend.
My advice is: not to follow my advice.

Took a rdo aka sickie yesterday, had enough of working on cars all weekend which I've been doing. Got the shopping trolley going again and got the radiator done in the wife's outlander, crap that was a prick of a job. The patrol is good only a few a extras do get sorted before the trip.

Had a good day on the tools with a bit more done on the draw system.
Made centring blocks so side to side is less force on the hold down bolts.
Made wings to fill into the tub edges.

Next up is the small electronic box which will unfortunately be a bit of a sore point as I completely overlook electrical panel plans during the build..

However, we have so much storage that it's ridiculous.
Nissa wants to grab the old man's 75dz fridge..
It'll fit, but I think a 35L freezer is a little OTT for this trip, lol.. that's a discussion for a bit later. But I need to build the fridge cage sooner than later..

    100 days to go!!

Freakin nice mate. I made my own too for my Y61 and wouldn’t have been without them. People either love or hate drawer systems. Personally I absolutely love the ease of accessibility to everything carried they create, and well worth the weight tax. Would never (personal preference only) go back to stacked plastic boxes to unpack and pack every time you need something. Yours look ace mate!

What is the charge? Eating a meal? A succulent Chinese meal??

I really like what you ahve done there, really good configuration, obviously a bit of thought put into it, and good quality build, happy for you. Unfortunately I cannot steal any of the format as my tray/pod is too high.
