Yep, I fell in love with the Limeatone coast last year on our trip. Can’t wait to do it again. With any luck CJ will be on this coming Christmas. Only 12 months away!

Should have gotten out and threw his cup back in his car. I did this a few moons ago to a smoker. The words that came out of his mouth was amusing. Only because I flicked it back in his window and it landed on the passenger seat. Would have burnt a nice hole in the seat too.

    Love it Mr Mark Mate
Unfortunately he was moving at 60kmph towards Nth Ringwood where I finally had a chance to inside pull up beside him at lights for an attempt to subtly encourage him to return and collect.
Received nothing more than some jibber jabber crazy waving F-Off at me so bugger it, he can pay his Australian respects through his tax avoidance cash hip pocket fines!
Did honestly keep my conduct to a minimum beetroot level to hopefully ensure he didn’t take it out later on his oppressed wifey sitting on the back seat being chauffeured.

Woo hoo! Was really disappointed by a dry wet working in Darwin Feb-Mar '19. Was really hoping to see the gods angry but wasn't to be unfortunately.

Edit: Was only last year actually. 2020 bastard of a year all round.

Edit edit: Um yes 2019 is right. Got mixed up with a Qld contract early '20. I'll shut up and go home now!

Regular rain late arvo every day commenced in parched Mutchilba 4 days ago. Heaviest fall last night - 63mm. Almost 200mm over 4 days. Creeks that have been dry since we arrived here last March have become raging torrents. We were cut off last night by fast running water over our concrete causeway entrance. Now about 2" below the top of the concrete & still raging. More forecast for the next few days. Brown & dry is rapidly turning green. Huge puddles still soak away quickly into the sandy soil. More bugs/beetle, flying ants etc around at night. The Channel-billed Cuckoos are gathering together ready for their northern migration. Rains have cooled things down to daily tops in the low 30's (instead of high 30's) but humidity has risen (although nothing like it is down in Cairns.

MrsTea has survived an acute allergic reaction to something unknown (but we suspect debris off a collapsed tin roof brought down by 53mm rain in under two hours on a chook pen which was beneath a Ponciana tree). Intra muscular adrenaline & oral steroids at Mareeba hospital did the trick . Will be trying to secure an Epipen for future travels.

This morning we found that the dunny wouldn't flush & every tap on one of the two gravity fed polypipe lines from the irrigation channel was dry. Investigation revealed that overnight the causeway over the dry creek into 'our' property had had around 500mm of water over it, making the creek around 3 metres deep. First time any water in it since we got here last March. Creek is still full & raging, but about 2" below the concrete. Photos taken after all of the larger debris removed. Cause of no dunny water is that the poly line crosses the creek with a joiner mid stream & water pressure has pulled the pipe apart.

The first day - just 14mm. Enough to collapse the infill around the new septic tank giving it a 'moat'. We worried about it floating upward, but so far it's stayed in place

'Our' causeway entrance. The once dry creek bed is about 2.5 metres below the water surface. Had a couple of puddles in it late yesterday arvo - filled overnight.

    Downstream side of the causeway

Upstream of the causeway with me 'discovering' the polypipe has been pulled apart

How's this for the greatest invention ever? It takes a small butane canister which can be refilled, and a blue pesticide mat. I don't know the ingredients and I hope it won't cause me a premature death because it works brilliantly. We were getting smashed with mozzies and within 5 mins of lighting this they were completely gone. It was about $50 at Bunnings.
