    RD28 Turbo oil leak

Had an oil leak for a while, think I might have traced the source, yesterday I noticed oil leaking out of the rubber input hose from the turbo to the intercooler. I think I may have a crook oil seal in the turbo, is this a difficult fix?

Looks like I might be up for a another turbo any ideas where I may be able to get one? Is there an aftermarket Turbo that will give me a bit more power that will bolt straight in?

Is your egr system (purposely blocked?

Take your intercooler out and see if the whole thing is oily. If so, get some petrol and clean it out. Unscrew the sensor in the intercooler and also get the oil off it.

Also clean both hoses (inlet/outlet) to intercooler. That gunk is making its way into your engine!

As above. The engine crankcase breather is generally routed so it goes into the intake pre turbo and after a while builds up a little bit of oil. I would be cleaning all of the stuff the above has mentioned and go from there.

PS, when refitting intercooler cleaned with petrol, let the residual evaporate as much as possible. Then fit it back and connect everything except the hose between intercooler and engine intake. Start engine and slowly connect last hose. The engine will sound Wierd, so go fairly slowly, so it doesn't.

Or use an air compressor to dry it

The ERG has been blocked with a plate and there is a catch can in place, will check all this. mates who have followed me in have commented on how smokey it is. I suspect a bit of water may be getting past too getting a bit of white smoke. turbo is abit noisy too.
