lift the bonnet and secure with a piece of dowl dont rely on the bonnet strut.remove the front grill four screws [dont have to but it helps to see where you are going] then remove side/indicator assembley two screws [trick is remove the long 10cm philips head set screw right in the very corner of the side/indicator assembley looking down, first] then only using two thumbs push the side/indicator assembley towards the head light and disconnect electrics.dont be tempted to use a tool .once the side/indicator assembley is out the head light is only is only two more screws.go easy on the lamp assembley ie mark it first and dont get your fingers/hand on the lamps use kitchen paper towel if you have to remove them from there holders.grease although you cannot see it on your fingers will create a hot spot on the lamp next time you have the head lights on. hope that helps.PS you could ask Briana nicely for a work shop manual, its got to be your birthday soon.

not all are like that, mine is an 09 model with a single combo headlight not a split unit - there are screws across top of grill and also on the centre pillar where the bonnet catch sits that need to also be undone if taking out the grill, then you have full access to any front screws, then need to get under the wheel arches and remove screws from there as well

Just changed a 2010 set of headlights, some notes below
* definitely remove headlights to change globes
* remove grill first, use flat head screwdriver to pry up centre of 4x plastic screws then you can gently pry it out
* to bolts on top, easy to find
* one bolt below, bit hard to find and access if you have a bull bar, especially with a 1/4” socket. But you’ll figure it out
* another clip to gently pry out
* now headlights are out, easy done
