    GQ TB42 snorkel

Guys, I wanted to ask a few of the smarter boys about air filter seals and snorkel question. I have a 1990 GQ TB42 dual fuel with the round air filter that sits on the top of the carb, Whats the best way to seal it so i dont get any water splashing inside the carb. The snorkel is sealed all the way to the air box just a opening where the top of the air box sits on the bottom tray that goes on top of the carb. Thanks in advance guys

Thats the point, the factory setup with gas is pretty bad so its usually better to modify the lot.

Its sealed all the way but open around the air filter that sits on top of the carb. Might just make up u brackets and silicon them on...

Yeah I know the ones. Bit of a pain to get them to seal properly. The filter housing vibrates a fair bit so maybe just put heaps of silicone?

i think i might make up some brackets so i can wrap the air box closed and then silicon it and that should hold it for a while... Anyway, if water gets to the distributor it will stall so should be ok.
