Hi mate,
we ask all new members to go to the introduction section first and post an intro about yourself to say Hi.
Kinda like walking into a room and not ignoring the place.
Have a look around mate, plenty of info here. Post an intro mate.
search for the "Black Rim" thread as it is current and there are some good pics that will help you make a decision.
To answer your question though.
285/ 75 R16 on a Neg 6 rim is about your limit.
regards MR

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
WARNING: Towballs used for recoveries can, and do kill people and damage property.

yep what he said. Neg 13 or even Neg 22 are fine on a GQ because everyone fits FLexi Flares but on a GUIV you cant and Neg13 would be outside the guard

Why can't you fit flexi flares to a GUIV? If you can't fit flexi flares to a GUIV, what are the options when fitting wider wheels?
Still not sure what GU my '06 is.

You could if you removed all the plastic first I reckon, take it back to the metal work, then add the flares
