Have you had a look at the canvas touring tents? TBH that is pretty pricey for a dome tent but I have heard pretty good reviews from that brand.

I have the DUNE Kimberley 9+ touring tent for going away with the family and does well and I paid less ($295 on special) than the domes. Downside is they are a bit on the heavier side and a it bulkier than the domes but not to the size of Oztent / Black Wolf / Tomahawk etc

I've got an escape duo which I absolutely love! Myself, wife and 2 small girls fit in it with plenty of room to spare.

The tent is bloody rugged, handles inclement weather excellent.. Couldn't be happier

Mate just brought a pyramid style tent from Rays For $199
and me being an ex sewing machine technician checked out the stitching, zips etc.
Was made from 15oz canvas, no see'em mesh. The only thing he did not buy was the pole kit to get rid of the centre pole.
Would I buy one, hell yeah in a heart beat. Only down side is it packs up a bit bulky for my liking, but have roof rack now.
Easy to put up and pull duwn 4 pegs, one pole can't get easier than that.

@ billy As I've said before I have brand new Geo tents here that you'll get for a song. 4 man from memory un opened
