    glow plug probblem

I got a problem whit the glow plug systeme on a GU . I bought the car second hand but I can't
contact the previous owner, because I have no his contact number. It seams that a bushsparky
had a go at the electrics and he has cut a few connections and I am not abel to find a few connections
in the harness were he has some of the lines which he has cut. I can get the glow lights on the dash
light up but there is no power to switch on the power to the glow plug.I'm just unable to trace
the starter cabel to the glow solenoid.
    Any advice would be appreciated.
    Cheers Rainbow

Is this the vehicle that has had the engine conversion?

The original glow plugs circuit worked on the ZD30 by the engine computer switching earth to the glow plug relay via the Light Green with a Black trace wire.

The ZD30 engine computer should of been removed when the engine conversion was done.

You would be better off mounting a momentary switch in the dash and wire it up to switch the glow plug relay on.

be quite aware of the high current loads though, as heavy switch and thick cable are essential I think.
