I was just reading an article about the conditions that these individuals who actually assemble these Chinese (and an asian)products work in (not specifacally 4wd and camping gear)and the extrodorinary high workplace accident and death rate. Buying from these companies alone I believe and subjecting other human beings to these conditions just so we can save a few hundred dollars (or even more)on our toys is wrong, this to me is the best reason not to buy Chinese.... I would be a lot happier if there was some sort of quality control on the work conditions at these places even if they don't have it on the equipment. Maybe 4wd action should do a story on the people who actually work for these manufacturers and then tell us how "Australian or unaustralian" they are.
I certainly wouldn't say every manufacturer over there has bad conditions but it would be nice to know the state of the place you are buying from....
This is just my two cents worth and I know there are heaps of people reading this that dis agree but it seems strange the second I was reading this article I thought of the Australian/unaustralian comment from that goose!!!

I still believe this is just a marketing stunt, look at the exposure it's given them.

I don't see how as they didn't ban themselves from the melbourne show......ARB and others said if they are allowed to come we are not..Not a bad stunt by arb to promote tiger11 and roo...Think not....

Any publicity is good publicity for them. Most people forget the truth or reasons for events like this. Their prices didn't drop like they said. Yet another shameless advert for the gullible public!
