yeah sure did, drove up a big ledge just lost traction and fell on the shaft and rear arms and this happened, lucky my mate seen it and told me to stop haha, made it out of there enough to pull the shaft and drive home front wheel drive. all in good fun
still building stages mate. turbos and dump are all bolted in. the turbos are straight off a 1jz. not sure on hp but turbo tb42s usually go pretty good. they boost up at 1100 rpm on the 2 litre so it will be interesting to see how it goes. real small turbos but theres 2 of
bugga me.. there is a set with joining manifold for $200 on ebay atm... (edit, located in miami...)
cheap as..
ill be watching with interest.. twin turbo TD42 anyone???
and not to down a sweet project, coz you do look like a welder by trade, but i hope your using the thinnest pipe. normal water pipe will crack threw the welds as it heats so slowly, you need it to heat up all at the same time..
Normal cast manifolds don't have this issue because there cast.. And many after marked manifolds are stainless..

Yeah thats about what i paid for mine with a dump pipe to fit a celica and other bits. The bloke didnt know what to say when i told him what they were going on. Yeah my mate was told the same thing when he made his manifold he had a 4.5 gu turbo. And its steam pipe we ordered in not just any old water pipe out of the shed. He used to have his red hot and go through creek crossings. Never cracked ever. So guess we will just see haha.
Yea fair call.. you may be right as you have a bit of length to each pipe. I thing the biggest culprits are the manifold hugging headers which are just steam pipe preformed bends and T's welded together.. so not much room for expansion..
