    Hydraulic winch

Hi all I'm just after some info from people who have do similar things.
I'm looking at putting in a vime 8000 pound hydraulic winch with a 90l a minute odd belt driven hydraulic pump. And I was wandering if anyone has any experience with hydraulic winches and what else I will need

WOW, thats a big pump! I hope you have more than 1 belt driving it? a 90l pump running at 2200 psi ( rec max of a lsht motor) can chew 30hp at the crank. IE have a look at the size of a 20kw electric motor!!!! 8000lb winch x 10 i think?

Yeh from memory the Tjm ox only uses 16L per min but the vime require a min of 60L per min so a power steering pump wouldn't be able to keep up and I'm wanting this winch to be as fast as possible that's why I won't to go for the 106L per min pump

U can but I don't no how much it's going to cost yet. I'm trying to work out what I need at the moment so that I can cost it to see if its worth it.
I'm hoping that it won't cost much over $5000 and if I can do it for around that much I think that it won't be to badly priced considering a giggle pin twin motor high mount is about $7500 and pulling a car under load it wouldn't be much slower if any.
Go onto you tube and look up vime hydraulic winch and also red hydraulic winches

Everything has its dissadvantages. If you are stuck in a river and the engine stops for whatever reason - an electric winch will still get you out. I looked at hydraulic winches years ago and they were just too fiddly and too expensive. Maybe things have changed......
