    CRD Dawes valve install Q

Guys, just a quick question for those who installed a dawes valve in their CRDs.

    Q. Do you have to drill or weld a bung into the inter cooler pipe for the boost line side of the dawes valve??? or is there somewhere else you can tap in.
I'm trying to avoid drilling a bung in as I get my boost reading from Scangauge.

Mine is tapped into the tank of intercooler. I think 1/8th BSP. Not sure about scan guage but is there a line running from intercooler to it to give reading?

Thanks for that. Yeah, I'm trying to avoid drilling or welding but ,might have no other choice. FYO the scangauge is electronic so it gets the reading from the ECU. There must be a sensor in the intercooler for the ECU.
