    4.8 fuel economy

Hi everyone I'm sore this has been discussed many time before but I want to no what sort of fuel economy everyone is getting out of the 4.8.
If you can also include what you have on your patrols, any engine mods, man or auto, how you drive it(granny driver, only drive on freeway, only around town, give it heaps),if its on gas and what sort of gas system.
If everyone with a 4.8 can do this then everyone should know if there car is running right and getting the right amount of ks out of a tank.
    Thank you

When I got my 2001 auto ti patrol it was standard except for having an old gas carby system in it and for my first tank of gas there where a few time when i gave it a hard time and it way all around town work and I got 35l per 100km.
The second tank I swapped the oxygen Sencers around. I probably drove it a little bit harder and I got 30l per 100km.
For my last tank which is also my third tank I cable tied the power valve open. As far as my driving goes I went up to toolangi and did rocky track, followed a mate home from there and we were pushing it so that wouldn't have been good for the fuel economy, had to take my little brother into the city and on my way out he called me to say that he got his wrong school footy jersey so I used all of the 4.8l of power to race home in upwey, pick up his jersey and race down to Geelong where just past just past the city I ran out of gas and had to switch to petrol and after all that flogging of the car I still managed to get it down to 25l per 100km

To help you Guys calculate your Fuel Consumption try this :-

    http://motormouth.com.au/myvehicle/c...alculator.aspx

To get an accurate reading especially for LPG Fill up at a Service Station and drive say 100/200 K's and then fill up at the same Service Station and then enter Litres used and K's driven in the above calulator.

Every Gas Pump has a slightly different cut off so use the same Pump

I got mine checked out by bayswater service centre yesterday and they said that I need a new maf air flow sensor and the injectors need to be done. They said that for a genuine nissan air flow sensor it's going to cost $700 but should be a lot cheaper for an after market on but there supplier doesn't have any in stock and its going to take about 6-8 weeks for them to get any
