How to remove Manual Gearbox from 1998 GU Patrol

    Hello All,

We are trying to replace the clutch on a 1998 GU Patrol .. have removed all Gearbox bolts, starter motor etc .. but cannot pull the gearbox away from the motor, its stuck hard.

Any help on how to remove the gearbox will be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Greg

I think that there are two bolts at the top which you need to get undone.

    Did you get these ones?

It is always a good idea to post up an introduction before asking for any assistance Greg, just gets everyone on side from the start. http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...-Introductions

You need to rotate the gearbox clockwise about 30 - 40 degrees once you have separated the bell housing from the block. There are also 2 dowl pins that you will find are going to be a pain when re-installing.
