LED MAP LIGHTS REPLACEMENT FOR GUs

If anyone is interested in replacing the bulbs on their map lights, there is an LED option on ebay:

    Look at this on eBay:

    2 X BA9S T4W 1895 Miniature Bayonet Super White 5 LED Light Bulb

    http://bit.ly/ZPRTme

These are a straight fit. Already installed them on mine.

    Cheers!

All my interior lights are LED, they are a block of led's that you plug the deferent sockets to suit like wedge or festoon type. I got mine from Autotechnica cheap as!!

When I read the OP I assumed 'Map Light' referred to the ceiling mounted cab light but on checking found tht mine is fitted with a 31mm festoon globe. Consequently I have just bought a couple of these. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/270892912...ht_4969wt_1141 for $1.35 delivered!

I guess the 'map light' must be one of the 'luxury' items the DX doesn't have.

Is there a trick to fitting these? Sorry for the dumb question...but I ordered some from Ebay, tried them tonight and no light :-( Do they need to be fitted a particular way around? I blew a fuse in the process (haha, dont laugh!), but have yet to try fitting them the other way around. Trying the festoon type in the middle and 3rd row lights...

Yeh GB just flip them over and they should be fine, take your fuse out first so you don't blow it again.
