    Going to Kalbarri

    G'day all,

Tomorrow me and the wife and kids are off to kalbarri for a few days. This will be the first decent drive we've had in the patrol since we got it. I can't wait to give it a good run and see what sort off mileage it returns. Does anyone have any info on some good tracks or beaches around kalbarri to check out? I've been up there once before but I only really saw the main touristy spots in the nat park so I would like to see some other spots around the area.

    Cheers, Paul.

well, you have Hutt River Province
the massive sand dunes on the way there..... turn left at Stephen St Northampton (where it says Kalbarri)after about 44kms of road, you will see the turn off to Kalbarri (straight ahead is Port Gregory- much better than Kalb I think) you go around the right hand side of the Pink Lake, all the way through to Kalb...... you come out through the National Park, cuts about 10Km I think from driving up the highway - not sure from memory
there is signs to the right to go to Hutt River
just before you turn right, you pass Lynton Station, and the Old Convict hiring station as you come towards it, you will see something on the hill, and you head down towards it.........

there is the Parrot place there on the way to Kalb through the Nat Pk, also the Seahorse place

but pretty much the dunes after the pink Lake.............................................. ....

    cheers

    G'day Paul,

There's also tracks running up the side of the Murchison River to a few nice spots for fishing etc... you basically follow Grey St up past the jettys and the Anchorage CV Park where it turns to gravel and sand, there's a maze of tracks to explore.

    Cheers,
    Darren

Here's a few happy snaps from today.
Got some nice pin striping on some tight tracks along the river.
