oh no, bandwidth, what a third world problem! (yes new to this forum, yes I was looking for a manual)
You do realize that this is how many of us found this site, yeah? and as such, it is actually attracting a new audience to your closed society...
Welcome to the forum mate, It's usually not really a problem at all with bandwidth anymore but we all decided to leave the rule in place as a lot of people spent shiploads of time trying to source these manuals. It's not really that hard mate, put up an introduction about yourself and just go and welcome another 23 members and job done... 5-10 minutes.....Not hard really???
I'm also quite aware of the manuals attracting the audience as I do online marketing for a living. We are up 140,000 visitors a month and a lot of those people are after the manuals so if you do the math then bandwidth can be an issue if left open for every lazy bugger that can't be bothered contributing anything back to the forum.
EBay has them for sale if thats too much trouble mate.

Oh poor you.... you want to take for free and all you can do is complain !!!
We are not a closed society but a very open and friendly one who enjoy sharing our knowledge and interest with others.
Then there are people who just take and do not want to give back.......??

I always like to let people know the reason behind the rule first and give them a chance to understand and kindly reply. If the reply is rude or aggressive then they are banned of course.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

X 2 the rules say and some senior members here tell newbies to say hello to others in the intros and you'll have your manual in no time
Forum asks for 25 posts hopefully intros or comments on members ride, once they have the manual, fixed their 4x4 you would hope they'd
return and repay that favour. But some ppl are funny fish

Jesus, is it really so hard to contribute, all you have to do is laugh at BA, and Growler eating hot as f*** chilis.
It is now official, we are not quite so sh@t at cricket as we were! Rugby Union is a different matter.
