Covered the rear pillars. Planning on covering the wheel arches with a speaker box which will cover the grey arches and plastic bits as well as the bottom of the pillars. Will look the goods when done.
IMO and should be taken with a grain of salt.

your interior looks really good! the value of a good interior is great because it's where you spend most of your time with the car. also makes passengers a lot happier (I especially don't like having to contort my legs around fast food bags and things like that)

Couple of spare parts arrived today. Preventative maintenance for peace of mind. Still waiting on the crank spur gears and even an oil pump that I paid $85 for. Genuine new. Can't beat that.
The engine did have a slight chain slapping kind of noise at the front. I lived with it for the last 2 years but now I'll do something about it. Probably just a loose tensioner.
IMO and should be taken with a grain of salt.

This is going to be the newest "old" truck getting around!
I still enjoy reading about your attention to detail. I dream that I would be like that, but you actually do it. Ha ha
I had noise coming out of the chain on the 4.8 in the GU. It was only there in a very specific rev range and I was not experienced enough to be confident what it was. Eventually I just gave in and had it opened up as it didn't make sense that it could be anything else. After opening you could tell the tensioner really wasn't quite doing it's job, after it was changed all good. It only had a bit over 200,000 km on it I think. It will be another one crossed off your list.
Thanks, Cameron
No Patrol now - Just good memories!
